    Metformin-Tchaikapharma contains metformin, a medicine to treat diabetes. It belongs to a group of medicines called biguanides.

    If you have diabetes, your pancreas does not make enough insulin or your body is not able to use properly the insulin it produces. This leads to a high level of glucose in your blood. Metformin-Tchaikapharma helps to lower your blood glucose to as normal a level.

    Indications

    Metformin-Tchaikapharma is used to treat patients with type 2 diabetes (also called “non-insulin dependent diabetes”) when diet and exercise alone have not been enough to control your blood glucose levels. It is used particularly in overweight patients.

    Lifurox is antibiotic used in adults and children. It works by killing bacteria that cause infections. It belongs to a group of medicines called cephalosporins.

    Indications

    Lifurox is used to treat infections of:
    – the lungs or chest;
    – the urinary tract;
    – the skin and soft tissue;
    – the abdomen);
    – to prevent infections during surgery.

    Enalapril-Tchaikapharma contains enalapril – an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor used in the treatment of hypertension and some forms of chronic heart failure.

    Indications

    Enalapril-Tchaikapharma is indicated for:
    – treatment of hypertension;
    – treatment of symptomatic heart failure;
    – prevention of symptomatic heart failure in patients with asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction (ejection fraction ≤35%).

    Concentration and pharmaceutical form: 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg tablets

  • Description

    Letrofemin contains an active substance called letrozole. It belongs to a group of medicines called aromatase inhibitors. It is a hormonal (or “endocrine”) breast cancer treatment.
    Letrofemin reduces the amount of oestrogen by blocking an enzyme (“aromatase”) involved in the production of oestrogens and therefore may block the growth of breast cancer that needs oestrogens to grow.

    Indications

    Letrofemin is used to treat breast cancer in women who have gone through menopause i.e cessation of periods.
    It is used to prevent cancer from happening again. It can be used as first treatment before breast cancer surgery in case immediate surgery is not suitable or it can be used as first treatment after breast cancer surgery or following five years treatment with tamоxifen. Letrofemin is also used to prevent breast tumour spreading to other parts of the body in patients with advanced breast cancer.
