Description
Verapamil is an L-type calcium channel blocker of the Phenylalkylamine class.
Indications
– Essential hypertension (mild to moderate)
All pharmaceutical forms of Verapamil Tchaikapharma are indicated for treatment of low or medium-degree essential hypertension
– IHD – stable angina or Prinzmetal’s angina in patients with normal leftventricular function
– Arrhythmias – prevention of supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular rate control in patients with atrial fibrillation
Although Verapamil -Tchaikapharma prolonged-release tablets are effective for treatment of angina pectoris as well as arrhythmias, according to the newer clinical experience, better results are achieved in these indications with other pharmaceutical forms of Verapamil (conventional tablets and injections).
