    Gliclazide is an oral hypoglycemic (anti-diabetic drug) and is classified as a sulfonylurea.

    Indications

    Gliclazide is indicated in patients with type 2 diabetes when diet and exercise do not result in adequate glycemic control.

    Hydrochlorothiazide  is a first line diuretic drug of the thiazide class that acts by inhibiting the kidneys’ ability to retain water.

    Indications

    -         Hypertension (as monotherapy or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs).

    -         Nephrogenic diabetes insipidus.

    -         Idiopathic hypercalciuria and prophylaxis of recidives of calcium calculi formation.

  • Description

    Verapamil is an L-type calcium channel blocker of the Phenylalkylamine class.

    Indications

    – Essential hypertension  (mild to moderate)

    All pharmaceutical forms of Verapamil  Tchaikapharma are indicated for treatment of low or medium-degree essential hypertension

    – IHD – stable angina or Prinzmetal’s angina in patients with normal leftventricular function

    – Arrhythmias – prevention of supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular rate control in patients with atrial fibrillation

    Although Verapamil -Tchaikapharma prolonged-release tablets are effective for treatment of  angina pectoris as well as arrhythmias, according to the newer clinical experience, better results are achieved in these indications with other pharmaceutical forms of Verapamil (conventional tablets and injections).
