Doxazosin-Tchaikapharma contains doxazosin – an α-blocker used to treat high blood pressure, and benign prostatic hyperplasia.

    Indications

    Hypertension
Doxazosin is indicated for the treatment of hypertension and can be used as the sole agent to control blood pressure in the majority of patients. In patients inadequately controlled on single antihypertensive therapy, doxazosin may be used in combination with a thiazide diuretic, beta-adrenoceptor blocking agent, calcium antagonist or an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor.

    Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
Doxazosin is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and by urinary outflow obstruction, related to BPH. Doxazosin may be used in BPH patients who are either hypertensive or normotensive. While in normotensive patients the changes in blood pressure were clinically insignificant, in patients with hypertension and BPH both conditions were effectively treated with doxazosin monotherapy.
