Tchaikapharma High Quality Medicines Inc. has received new Marketing Authorization for Esomeprazole-Tchaikapharma 40 mg powder for injection / infusion solution.
The product contains the active ingredient esomeprazole and belongs to a group of medicines called “proton pump inhibitors”. They work by reducing the amount of acid that the stomach produces.
Esomeprazole-Tchaikapharma is used for short-term treatment of certain conditions where the patient cannot take oral medication. It is used to treat:
– Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in adults, adolescents and children. This is a condition in which the acid from the stomach escapes into the gullet (connecting the throat and the stomach) and this causes pain, inflammation and heartburn.
– Stomach ulcers in adults caused by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Esomeprazole-Tchaikapharma also may prevent the formation of gastric ulcers in patients who are taking NSAIDs.

– For prevention of repeated bleeding in adults following therapeutic endoscopy for acute the bleeding of gastric or duodenal ulcers.
